Sometimes just having a few new books for children to read may make a difference. Children need to learn to love to read and exposing them to timeless, optimistic, virtuous, and happy stories will have impact.
One of the controversies of our time is the exposure that young children have to books that are sexually explicit in their own elementary school libraries. Children should not see sexually explicit pictures or be introduced to sexually explicit ideas before their parents determine they are ready. We will help schools review their library collection, advise on existing books, and offer support to find appropriate books to include, whether new or used. Let’s make sure our elementary schools are filled with beautiful books and lovely stories, not pornography.
Help the Children Read
Teach the children to read and it opens up a whole new world for them. It provides them an escape from whatever the may be dealing with. Books can become lifelong friends. Books are a source of knowledge, education, and compassion.
